RULES, REGULATIONS AND ORDINANCES

The hours of operation for the playground, picnic shelter located in River Falls Park, shall be from sunrise to sunset, each day.  Persons in the park after hours shall be considered trespassing, unless in performance of assigned duties, authorized by the town of Weldon or it’s designated official.

All vehicles should park in the designated parking areas.  Do not park on grassed areas or the street.

Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs and weapons of any kind are prohibited in or on the park grounds or facilities and their use will not be tolerated.  Violation of this policy may leave you subject to prosecution by police. 

No profanity is allowed.

The contact person and/or his/her organization will be held responsible for returning areas used to the condition of cleanliness in which it was obtained.  Trashcans are provided at the park.  All garbage is required to be disposed of properly.  Failure to leave areas in satisfactory condition could lead to the forfeiture of your rights to future use. 

The contact person will be required to pay for any damages incurred to the building, equipment or furniture during your use of the facility. 

Picnic tables in the picnic shelter may not be moved.  You may bring additional tables and chairs at your own expense if necessary.

The presence of police security may be required at some events.  If police are required, it is the user’s responsibility to contract with the Weldon Town Police or Halifax County Sheriff Department to hire off-duty police officers.  Proof of contract is required.  These officers will be required to be on site for the entire event.

Rental fees are for picnic shelter only.

2-4 hours 
$25.00 for non-residents of Weldon/No charge for Weldon residents
Full day
$50.00 for all
Special Events
$100 per day

Special events and/or festivals must arrange for Liability Insurance and Security.

All fees are due with application to secure date.
